Miss being a kid? This is something to DIE for!! :)

Happy 2012 lovelies!

Here's the post about Christmas in Singapore that i've mentioned/promised previously.

Ever wonder how does Christmas 2011 in Singapore looks like?

Let me show ya a few pictures (very few indeed as i realized most of the pics are taken from my friend's camera FML) of X'mas mainly at Orchard Road.

I'm sure everyone knows where Orchard Road is, and it is very convenient to get to the exact place just by taking the MRT. It is the heaven of shopping where there are lotsa shopping malls around and you can purchase just about anything, from cheap goods to branded goods.

Basically Orchard Road was transformed into a garden of scintillating lights. Everywhere you turn, huge X'mas tree is there. And everything (literally everything from buildings to trees) were fully decorated with lights.

But that is not the main point.

What i actually wanted to highlight here is about a shop that i had instantly fall in love with, Candylicious.

(Honestly, i never knw that we have it here in KLCC and One Utama until i came back from my S'pore trip. #fml #outdatedmax)

Gigantic lollies!!

Jelly beans, anyone?

Hershey's? Me gusta!

I literally died looking at these. I want ALL!
Gimme ALL!! *rawrs*

Love the deco outside of the store.

Especially all these huge candies hanging from the branches right above your head.

I got blown away.

I spent approximately an hour in that shop...being all kiddo again.
*happy happy me*

(But this shop in S'pore is waaaaaaaay bigger than what we have here in KL. Like 5 times of that in One Utama. And the difference in terms of pricing? Obviously its cheaper in Singapore but not too much. Probably about three to four ringgit only.
Go check it out yo!)

Really, that pretty sums up my 2011. It has been a very interesting roller coaster ride, not too good on the first half year but throughout the last six months, it was definitely memorable. Thus, 2012, please be kind to me. Please be kind to the people around me, people that i care and people that i call family and friends.

And to you, let's brave through this year with full determination and with lotsa laughter. Cheers to us and many many years to come. =)

May all of you have a wonderful year ahead!

*smoochies*

With love,
Sue.

Happy Winter Solstice, EVERYONE!!

The title says it all!

So as i'm here sitting at my cubicle with only 1 task to do for the day, i might as well spend my time on my dearest bloggie!

Today marks the day where Chinese celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival or better known as Dong Zhi whereby we rolled the glutinous rice balls the night before. Fyi, this festival falls on every 22nd of December of the year, just 3 days before Christmas. And apparently this festival is bigger than our Chinese New Year but i guess the tradition is slowly fading eyh?

The glutinous rice balls, or better known as tong yuen, symbolized family unity and that the rounder the balls are, the stronger the ties were. Some tong yuen have fillings in em' be it powdered peanuts or mushygooey black sesame but as for my family, we always prefer the plain and traditional ones. No fillings and only comes in white and pink. This year's a tad extraordinary tho. We have green! But my lovely apple green turns out to be....disgusting green.

Anyways, that bowl of tong yuen is soooo good that you will definitely crave for more. Dearest mummy boiled it with ginger, palm sugar, pandan leaves and GULA MELAKA! You know how gula melaka does wonders right? It is that gooooooood! =D

Oh and eating tong yuen also means that you've grown a year older!

LOL.

Have a great day ahead lovelies!

Have fun eating those balls balls.

=)

Lots of love,

Sue.

My Nuffnang Story

Blogging....

is the current trend. Without realizing, i've been blogging for 4 years now and 2 years back, i've came to know about Nuffnang, thanks to my bro. I've been part of the Nuffnang community since July 2009 and oh boy, this 2 years has been extremely wonderful.

One thing for sure, being in the community is not only about gaining extra income through blogging but as well as to know more people. I realized that this blogosphere world has so much to offer and it is not only about penning down everything personal about your life, but it is also to share your thoughts and get updated with the latest news and events.

Thus, with full of excitement, here goes my Nuffnang story! *beams*

I vividly remember my first time ever attending premiere screening was Paranormal Activity at Tropicana with Jenkin Yat! I remember i was a tad disappointed for not winning the passes myself for the first time but yet, i did not give up! I continue leaving comments and did my blogposts and from then onwards, i did win passes myself! Yeay me! Do you know that feeling of excitement when you've won something even if it is not big but you get to experience it before other people do? It's pure awesome! Teehee.

Apart from screenings, i've also joined several events that was organized by Nuffnang. The one that i could not forget was Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair that was held around April last year. It was one of the largest blogger gathering in history and this event was recorded in The Malaysia Book of Records too! WOW!

I also vividly remember that was the first time i met Jackie Loi, so happen to be studying in the same uni with me! He used to say i stalk him in uni, but who knows it's the other way round right? Tsktsktsk. =P

We end up bringing several Gatsby products back home! :D It was definitely a memorable day!

Besides that, i would also never forget the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race 2011 happened early this year! It was the best event of the year and of course, it was nothing but merely FUN FUN FUN!

The best teammates, with Jieyi, Jackie and Ken!

It was sorta like a treasure hunt thinggy and what we were supposed to do was to get to the exact location, eat and blog and RACE towards the finish line.

You know when they say hard work pay off? That is cause' we won ourselves a HTC 7 Mozart EACH!!! It was unbelievable because other teams were pretty competitive as well. Again, thanks to Maxis and Nuffnang for the splendid experience!! :D

April 2011. =)

This was the Playboy Fragrances for Women Launch Event held at Mid Valley! The Playboy fragrance line for women has invade KL which include PLAY IT LOVELY, PLAY IT SEXY and PLAY IT SPICY! I remembered i got a call from one of the Nuffies like few weeks before the event and i'm glad that i actually participated in it. Despite the nervous feeling having to talk on stage in front of public and the "P" that i chose probably got backfired (LOL), i must say that it was also a great experience! Once again, thank you Playboy and Nuffnang!

Not to forget, ChurpChurp, the sister company of Nuffnang!
:D

Honestly, I would consider myself as an amateur/newbie or whatever you call it because there is so much more for me to learn about the blogosphere world and obviously there is so much room need to be made for improvements. But, i am so grateful to have known all these Nuffies and Nuffnangers along the way who have shared all the beautiful memories with me all these while. Tho not much, but i'm sure there is more to come and it would definitely be an unforgettable never-ending journey!

Thus, come this 16th December 2011, 500 bloggers from around the Asia-Pacific region will flock to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 in Putrajaya Marriott. The Awards aims to not only to honour the region's best bloggers, but also to bring together blogger communities from across Asia-Pacific. The Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards is brought to you by Volkswagen Malaysia and Putrajaya Marriott.

Don't miss the chance to nominate your favourite blogger here!

I really do hope i could attend this one this time around!

Indeed, it has been a very remarkable journey with you, Nuffnang!

Love you to bits and pieces!

With love,
Sue.

Biggest Hennessy Artistry 2011 is here!!

Good news again to all party goers out there! Here's another event of the year that will blow your mind!

The BIGGEST Henessy Artistry 2011 is happening very soon! The artists line up has already been confirmed and it's time to spill the beans!

Date: 12th November 2011.

Venue: Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) at Mines Resort City.

"Chris Willis is a singer/songwriter with a knack turning killer tracks into charttopping pop songs and a divo who can go mic-to-mic with the best of the pop divas any day of the week. is the man behind the powerhouse voice currently rocking American Top 40 radio with the hot new dance song, "Love Is Gone." Lifted from "Pop Life," the third album by French superstar producer and DJ, David Guetta, the single won a World Music Award in 2007 and in 2008 won the Winter Music Conference Club Award for "Best Club Anthem Of The Year" and the International Dance Music Award for "Best House/Garage Track." "Love Is Gone" is one of five (5!) singles from "Pop Life" featuring the vocals (and often lyrics) of singer-songwriter, Chris Willis: Others are "Every Time We Touch," "Tomorrow Can Wait," "Never Take Away My Freedom," and "Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)."

"Dubbed as The "King of KL Hip Hop", There's more to Goldfish than the Bling-Bling things. The amicable deejay is so versatile on the decks that he can render his skills to anything he wants. A firm crowd favorite, spinning royalty and DMC Champion. Over the years, he has played alongside big names such as Missy Elliott, Kanye West, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas and Prodigy.

DJ Blink, has definitely risen from the ranks of the clubbing masses to become an influential proponent of the KL underground scene. Inspired by the rave movement in KL at the turn of the millennium, Blink started DJ’ing progressive house for two years before heeding the ever-nagging call of Hip Hop turntablism. Today, Blink is now regarded as one of KL’s top DJs. To see DJ Blink on the bill would be a sign that you’re in for a night of raucous rhythms, funky beats and the requisite dancing till you drop. He is well known for his Lapsap nights (with partner Xu) as well as his solo sets at Zouk KL. A champion of the new emerging sound where electronica meets indie meets breaks meets anything goes style, you will be hard pressed to pin down the “sound”."

"Taiwanese female R&B vocalist, Landy Wen is a member of the Atayal ethnic group and one of the few Taiwanese aborigines to become a musical star. Apart from singing, Landy has also acted in the Chinese drama, precious. Her foray into the silver screen will also see her play a role in the highly acclaimed Taiwanese action saga, Warriors of the Rainbow due to be released later this year."

"With one record Yolanda Be Cool have gone straight to the top of the music industry A list. Their second single – ‘We No Speak Americano’ (co-produced with DCUP) sold over 5 million copies and hit number 1 in 18 countries; infiltrating radio waves, TV shows, and pretty much every dance floor in the world over the summer. You’d need to be a Tarantino assassinated corpse to have not felt its impact in some form. Also known as Johnson Peterson and Slyvester Martinez, Yolanda Be Cool have demonstrated that with the panache and production skills to back it up it’s possible to cultivate an international smash hit without the need for a major label vehicle, instead releasing on homegrown Australian indie ‘Sweat It Out’. With over ten years DJing under their belts their musical influences extend far beyond their Native Sydney, from old school hip hop, to Chicago house to techno to pretty much everything in between."

"Park Jung Min is a member of the South Korean group SS501 who released his first solo album in 2011. With his charismatic style, he is known as “SS501 Charisma” and often introduces himself as that. Jung-min is also known as the friendliest member in SS501. Known for his confident and playful personality, this Korean sensation has captured the hearts of girls around Asia with his good looks, dance moves, and powerful vocals. This multi-talented 24-year-old has also worked in the musical Grease playing the lead role of 'Danny Park' for which he won the "Golden Ticket Award" for Best Musical New Talent. His latest single, “Not Alone” was released in January 2011."

This time around, fellow party goers can expect the MIECC to be completely transformed into one enormous superclub with a classy world class set-up featuring countless plasma screens displaying head-turning visuals and futuristic bars that will be serving delectable concoctions of Hennessy V.S.O.P signature long drinks such as Hennessy Apple, Hennessy Berry, Hennessy Ginger, and a new addition; Hennessy Soda.

To top that, there will be Hennessy Mixing Zone and also 4 fun, engaging and experiential zones:

Hennessy Music Mix Synth - where revellers will be given the chance to create their own tunes by selectively choosing to place 15 circular cubes on a react table (each cube represents different music element) to allow them to experience the true meaning of "The Global Art of Mixing" through the blending of their very own tunes.

Hennessy iMix Challenge - an area where party goers can try their hands at Hennessy's newly developed iPad game which requires guests to slice up ingredients which are found in Hennessy V.S.O.P's signature long drinks. Say It Again.

My current addiction!
Such love!

The thing about love is i never saw it coming
It kinda crept up and took me by surprise
And now there's a voice inside my heart that's got me wondering
Is this true, I want to hear it one more time

Move in a little closer
Take it to a whisper
Just a little louder

Say it again for me
Cause' i love the way it feels when you are telling me that
I'm the only one that blows your mind
Say it again for me
It's like the whole world stops to listen
When you tell me you're in love
Say it again

Thing about you is you know how to get me
You talk about us like there's no end in sight
The thing about me is that i really want to let you
Open that door and walk into my life

And it feels like it's the first time
That anybody's ever brought sun without the rain
And never in my whole life
Have i heard words as beautiful as when you say my name

Say it again for me
Cause' i love the way it feels when you are telling me that
I'm the only one that blows your mind
Say it again for me
It's like the whole world stops to listen
When you tell me you're in love
Say it again

Wedding on the 31st of August 2011.

Hello homies!

Finally i could spare some time for my soon-to-die blog! =D Been really tired since i started working and i just got recovered from a bad flu and slight fever. Thanks to bro who spread his virus to me and he's so proud that he spread to his colleagues as well. Damn wth right. LOL.

So here's a post about the wedding project that happened on Merdeka Day/Raya at Tropicana Clubhouse. If i'm not mistaken their theme color was white, peach and tiffany blue.

The groom's corsage.

I'm so proud that i did the whole corsage by myself!!
Super delicate job i tell you!
Muahahaha!

The bridal's bouquet.

Main table deco in the ballroom.

The garden wedding at Tropicana Clubhouse's Courtyard.
=))

All in all it was fun yet very tiring! It's such a bliss to see people getting married and you wonder how's yours going to be in the next 10 years. And it's so touched to see em' couples exchange vows. May the couple live happily ever after. =)

Loves. =)

.......
All i need
is someone that loves me
for who i am.
:)
