Chinese New Year - Part 5.

#Chap Goh Mei.#

It is the last day of Chinese New Year, the 15th day. The family decided to go 4th aunt's house again to help her to clean up after all the big mess during the party the night before especially those paper bags of Chinese New Year goodies that were brought by the guests. So we were enjoying unpacking all the bags, there were lotsa hampers, and as usual, lotsa wines, cabernet, chiraz and burgundy. But what i love most was there's loads of chocolates! Couldn't resist the temptation weyh.

White chocolate with milk chocolate filling! *loves*

Then approximately about 4 something in the evening, we decided to bring baby Ayden to the swimming pool to kick the water. He was enjoying so much that he refused get up at all after that. Told him that inside the 4th aunt's house has a swimming pool a.k.a bathtub then only he stopped crying. heh.

After that, we went to Klang to visit some uncle and they bought us yummay seafood dinner at this restaurant called Sungai You.

Fried mini squid with marmite.

Tom yum soup.

Grilled stingray.

Salted egg crabbies.

Black pepper crabbies.

Thank you Ah Ku Soon! And thank you for the great hospitality. =)

Desperado case.

Aloha! I just came back from my 4th aunt's open house at Binjai and my stomach is bloated! Super delicious food and there's so many people. Trying to fish some rich leng zai there but mission failed. Mostly younger ones but hell they are so darn filthy rich lol.

Instead, got this desperado case aunty trying to matchmake me and her son since like 2 or 3 years back. The thing is, we only meet during my aunt's open house or so coincidence get to meet once or twice in shopping malls. Normally she would just say a lil bit of her son stuffs because back then he was still studying in London. But this time around, her son is back for good. Really oh emm gee......

Today, she introduced her son and she goes to the extend of asking so much about me - where do i live, where do i study, what zodiac am i, what course am i taking, who fetch me to school, who fetch me home from school etc etc. And then there's this part where my mum said my bunch of friends came to my house for visiting and she went like are there more boys or girls? Like wat the eff. So what if there's more boys. Does it concern you? And then after that she really really really really really asked my mum if her son could bring me out for a date. Thank god i wasn't there when she asked that question. If not i`ll definitely give her my du lan look.
-____-

She actually asked for my phone number too wtf. But mum gave her our house number instead. Great. Seriously, i've never seen such desperado case before. I know your family is darn rich but i'm sorry i'm not so money-faced and your son is not even close to meeting my expectations of a boyfriend. Plus, it seems like you're more interested in me than your son. haha. If your aim is just to have a close relation with my 4th uncle and aunt then i have to be honest, you may eff off.

...

Anyways, happy Chap Goh Mei everyone. It's the last day of Chinese New Year so be prepared for the blasting of firecrackers! *I still wanna collect red packets ler...shiet*

One of the eye appears smaller than the other because it's swollen since the last 2 days. =( And oh, the pic looks like i'm having short hair eh? =P

Goodnight!

Year of the Tiger - Part 4.

#Bai Tee Gong.#

The 8th day of the Chinese New Year is a significant day for the Hokkiens and it means praying to the Heaven God. It is the day where we placed the offerings on the table which include ang ku kueh, pau, oranges, pineapples, roasted pig, roasted duck and a few more others stuffs which bring good meanings. The prayers normally start bout 10pm till after midnight about almost 1. Growing up in a close-knit traditional Hokkien family (mum's side), Bai Tee Gong is consider one of the big day for us whereby the family members will get together to usher in this auspicious day.

As for my family, after my uncle's passing, my grandma decided to pray vegetarian from then on. So there's no roasted pig nor roasted duck. It was a very simple one and grandma said apparently Tee Gong (The Heaven God), is a vegetarian. Owwwhh....

*Hopefully the Tee Gong heard my prayers.* =)

....

It's the last 3 days of Chinese New Year and it's all gonna be about the food, food and MORE food. Gonna have steamboat tonight at Maluri, open house in my 4th aunt's place at Binjai Residence tomorrow night, and pot luck party at 1st aunt's place on Chap Goh Mei. Weee!

Start from next week onwards, really gotta work out in the gym already. =)

For now, you guys have a great weekend ahead.

Cheers.

.......
It's time for crackers on Chap Goh Mei again!

My greatest gratitude goes out to you.

I would like to thank my bunch of funny, jovial, boisterous friends who came today and brought so much joy to my life since i entered college. I realized that without you guys i wouldn't had made it through so many obstacles and i wouldn't be who i am today. I know pretty well that these are the closer few people that i could rely on even though a few of them of which i only got to know better lately.

About the incident today, i guess it's part of the fate as well. No one wants it to happen and probably, it was just the wrong timing at that time. There's no point asking all the 'What ifs'. But honestly, i would rather be the one sitting at the back seat. Really.

Anyway, a million thank you to guys because it's been a really long time since my house was THIS loud. It was happening and i hope you guys had fun winning ya. And oh, and the mouth-stuffing too. =)

And awwwww, thank you for the messages and calls. Am really fine. Instead i'm more worried about them both. sigh. *Hopefully things will be fine*

Drive home safely and to those that stayed kinda far, really thank you for coming!

Love you guys loads and God bless.

Muahs!

....

Now only i felt hungry. No proper meal for today. A cup of white coffee, sausage bun, kaya waffle and a cup of honeydew juice. Hmmm, if only everyday i could practice this kinda lifestyle i'll definitely lose weight. =P

Have a goodnight and sweet dreams. (=

.....
It hit me so hard that
I then only realized
How important life is.

Year of the Tiger - Part 3.

#Ayden's 1 year old birthday celebration on the 7th day of Chinese New Year.#

Ayden finally turns one! We had a small party for him last Saturday and invited a few relatives and aunt's close friends to join. The hall of our Malacca home somewhat turns in to a mini playground with a plastic swimming pool (not filled with water) and a tent. It was all so colourful and i lurve it loads. Felt so much like a kiddo in wonderland. =)

A very simple card prepared by my aunty.

And then we have this kind of tradition of which i have no idea inherited from which ancestor. When the baby turns 1 year old, we have to lay 4 stuffs for the baby to pick. The 4 stuffs are money, book, pen and red egg. If the baby picks the money, means in the future he'll be rich, if book means he'll be smart, if red egg means he'll be a big eater and i've got no idea about the pen. Maybe he'll end up signing off lotsa cheques? or write his own book?

So guess what this baby picked?

Yes, the book! First he took the book, then secondly he grabbed the money. haha. Both very important components in life. =) So i asked my mum what did i picked last time. Unfortunately she has forgotten and so i made my own assumption. I guess i picked the red egg because i'm such a pig right now, gobbling every single stuffs into my mouth all the time. kekeke.

He's still in the process of teething. So everything also he wants to bite, including my hand.

First time playing in the swimming pool.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY BOY!
=)

You're better than the best.

Year of the Tiger - Part 2.

#Trip to Kukup.#

On the fifth day of Chinese New Year, we headed to Kukup to celebrate my fourth granduncle and grandaunt's birthday. It was somewhat a lil disappointing because the way they expressed the entire scenario was like some high class place and i was all dolled up, ready to party. The journey there from Malacca home took about almost 4 hours. Sat till the butt also numb. heh. And then we reached there to find out that it was a jetty place, and the road was superbly congested, something like Kuala Selangor. But at least the food was okay, and most importantly the old folks enjoyed themselves. =)

Jonathan.

On the way back to Malacca!

....

I'll be going back to Malacca again tomorrow to celebrate baby Ayden's birthday. Will be back on Monday morning and straight to QM mid-term exam. sigh. I'm still not in the mood to study!

Tata for now!

p/s : Happy birthday dad! =)

You make me shine like a gold
