Lil escape.

It was a long Raya holidays last weekend and even longer holidays for school children and teachers. Too bad, i ain't any school kid anymore. I would had enjoy 9 freaking days of holidays if i were still one. But well, i eventually took my extra one day holiday and skipped college on Wednesday. hehe. That's because i was in Cameron, again. Why i mentioned 'again' is because we went on a large group and we thought of somewhere that is not too far, yet very relaxing at the same time. We preferred highlands, its cooling, you see. Just needed a lil getaway from all the hot weather and polluted environment in the city and get some fresher, cooler air up there. There's no traffic jam on the highway but the traffic in Cameron itself, i tell you, its horrendous. *sigh*

Anyways...

There's about more than 200 shots and here's just a couple of them.

*Lata Kinjang / Lata Iskandar*

*Cameron Bharat tea plantation*

Rm1.00 for a cup of teh tarik.

Want a better eyesight? Look at more greeneries.
;)

*Colourful cactus*

*I love lilies too!!*

*Apam balik and fried shitake mushrooms*

Besides the pearl corns, these are the stuffs i always crave for whenever we go Cameron.

*My mini chocolate fondue!*

I call this h-e-a-v-e-n. Dip the strawberries, banana, tomato cherries, marshmallows and just about anything you like and you'll find yourself in cloud nine just seconds away.
*drooling*

*The Smokehouse*

*Tody Palm drink*

Its like leong sui. Very refreshing. :)

*Ta-daa!*
More pictures will be uploaded in Facebook.
:)
The worse part was i puked while on the way back to KL. hmmm.

By the way, i was reading the newspaper just now and i stumble across this horoscope section. See what it says about mine.

Taurus.

"When your head's hovering an inch above the grindstone, you're usually far too focused to sweat the small stuff. Trouble is, this week offers plenty of spare time to think and you're just as capable of fretting as the rest of us. Let your inner voice guide you".

At that particular moment, my head's started pondering. There's so many thoughts, contemplations, questions, answers and considerations floating in my mind. I was thinking, all those times that i listened to my inner voice, i ended up jeopardizing myself.

So now what?

.........................

If only i could turn back time,
I wont let you leave from the grasp of my hand.
When will i ever stop feeling jaded?

Happy Raya!!!

Its the 7th day of Raya and its my first time attending Raya open house, THIS YEAR. ;) We were invited by Zaza to her house at Suadamai and only 8 of us could make it for the night. We were the first few to reach, approximately about 7.30pm and left her place about 10.30pm. Her parents are so sporting and cool! Her dad looks like Hishammudin, like seriously. hehehe. It was a great night with loads of yummy food and people.

The bunch with Zaza, 3rd one from left.
*Thank you Zaza!!*

One of the coolest mum on earth.
*Thank you auntie!!*

At first, i saw Reuben from Akademi Fantasia. But the bunch don't know who he is as they don't really watch local reality programmes. Then another group of people came in, and i saw another guy from Akademi Fantasia too but i've forgotten his name. *sorry* Then from then on, whenever a group of people come in, they would ask me if there's any popular people that i know. Till one moment, i went like....OMG. Am. i. blind. or. what? It was really a huge surprise.

Cause' you know what? I saw....

Andy from Estranged!!

And yes, the group was there. You should see me and Asyikin's reaction. Really funny. Imagine if you're shock, stoned and felt like screaming at the same time. ( Imagine if Coddy meets Wang Lee Hom, exactly like that or so ). haha. So if you're wondering whose Estranged is, they are one of the popular rock band in Malaysia and this cute hunk, Azwin Andy is the drummer of the band. Kindly please click here. :)

So i'll end this post with one of their most popular song from the album 'In Hating Memory'. I present you...... 'Itu Kamu'.

Kau terindah,
Masih ada,
Yang tercantik,
Itu kamu.

Dinner at Ka-Soh.

The entire family was treated to a wonderful dinner at Ka-Soh last Sunday, the night before we headed to Cameron Highlands. Ka-Soh, which means daughter-in-law in Cantonese, hints the customers that it is ain't any fine dining restaurant. They serve dishes that are all simple yet delicious home-cooked food which you can rarely find in restaurants nowadays. If you`re looking for a good restaurant that serves scrumptious home-cooked food, i recommend you to come here.

*Their specialities*

*Deep Fried Prawn Paste Chicken*

The spices that they used really goes well with the chicken. Very crispy and tasty. And i shall say juicy too?

*Curry Fish Head*

This is one of the best curry fish head you can find in town.

*Asparagus*

Fried with chillies, onions and shrimps.

*Crispy Pork Knuckles*

Oh gawd, i tell you. This is so darn nice. The skin is very crispy and the meat is tender. But all good stuffs come with a bad thing right? That layer of fats, right below the skin, just make sure you don't eat 'em. That is, if you don't want your heart and lungs to be filled with thick layers of oil. Theres always pros and cons. :)

*Deep Fried Pork Intestines*

It tastes like keropok. lol. Best eaten with sweet sauce.

This is really the typical kind of home-cooked dish. Its just normal tau-fu where we can always find in the market. But what makes it so special is the sauce that goes so well with the spring onions, fried onions and shrimps. Very good for my granpa and gandma.

Whats dinner without a glass of red wine eh?
=)

*The so-called adult table*

Me feeling rather bloated after the meal.
*vain-pot*

Of agony and joy.

I guess i woke up at the wrong side of the bed yesterday. It just wasnt my day. Obviously it wasnt my day, because it was someone else's day.

HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY CODDY!! :)

As i said, it wasnt my day because bad things came happening on me one after another and just let say it wasnt a smooth, productive day for me. While i was walking up the hill in college, i could feel the bad aura going and shiver ran down my spine. It was more like instincts, or sixth sense, you know, those kind of feeling that most females got before something bad occurs.

And here goes the;

Disastrous #1 ;

My slippers tore in the morning. Like in AGES since the last time i experienced that. I`ve got no idea why i wore that old pair of slippers yesterday. Really potong stim. It happened right after the first class finishes and we planned to go for our breakfast at McDonalds. So the kind person that Aaron was, he went all the way down to Block A to get me cellophane tapes so that i could taped the string back to the soles of the slipper and at least walk out to Giant to get a new pair. So i make do with it first, but end up i did not get a new pair of slippers because it worked perfectly fine again. And i dont have to spend another few ringgits to get a new one since i just got one like few weeks back. But i felt really bad for making them pulled back in the auditorium since everyone was so damn hungry at that time. After all the patching up it was right after 11 am already so we missed the breakfast meal and ended up in a nearby coffeeshop. Awwww, thank you and sorry yah guys!

Disastrous #2 ;

My right knee hurts. the whole morning. the freaking whole day. even till today. and i dont even know when and where i got that big blue black mark being stamped on my knee. Its a bit swollen also. Pain leh...

Disastrous #3 ;

No electricity again in the college. Its exactly the same time and day like last week. And i fell in the auditorium. My legs were stuck in between the chairs and that adds up to the pain in my knee. Oh, please dont imagine how did that happened k?. *embarrassed* :P

Disastrous #4 ;

We were in Jusco to celebrate Coddy's birthday. And as i was trying to pull up my jeans with my left hand, my nail belonging to the middle finger, bended upwards. Can you imagine if you have long fingernails and this kind of thing happen to you? And the nail started to turn black. Yes, blood clot and it was still bleeding from the inside. Ok, now tell me, is there anything to strenghten your nails ar? Nail strengthener?

A piece of advice;
*do not keep long fingernails* c=

...................

So after class at 5 pm we went back home to freshen up and head to Jusco Cheras Selatan to have dinner and watched a Singapore horror movie; 'Where Got Ghosts?'. The group ate at Teppanyaki but Woon Chin, Angeline and myself decided to sneak McDonalds McValue Meals into the cinema.

We were 15 minutes late and we sort of missed the first part which was Ghost on The Roadside. Its a 3-in-1 film and the remaining two are Ghost in The Jungle and Ghost in The House. The spookiest one is Ghost in The Jungle. I kid you not, but it can really make you pee in your pants. It felt as if your heart can burst out anytime soon. Overall it was funny and entertaining yet tear-jerking at the same time. You'll scream at some sudden appearing ghost scenes and yet it'll make you laugh simultaneously especially if you had watch 'Money No Enough Part II'. As usual, its all about the gambling, greed and filial piety.

So there goes the new born genre; ' horr-medy ' ( horror + comedy).

Then again, eventho it wasnt a smooth sailing day for me, at least nothing extremely big and bad thing happen. It was still a fun day afterall.

Cheers. =)

The hideous truth.

Finally i`ve watched The Ugly Truth last night after such a long time since i last went to the cinemas. Went with Yau Shin to Alamanda Putrajaya coz' i was expecting lesser crowd there ( like always ) compared to places like Mid Valley. But it turns out to be wrong, the cinema was full. Maybe because its the fasting month also larh and it was a Friday night. Still, we were lucky enough to get the almost last two seats. =) And i realized that the advantages of watching movie in Alamanda is that you dont have to queue very long to buy your tix like what we usually experienced in the big complexes. Hate going through all the hassles. Even to find a parking space itself already take so much of precious time. So this 18 PL rated film is a must to see i would say. But just make sure that you`re above 18 and broad-minded enough aight? :P

Director : Robert Luketic
Starring : Katherine Heigl, Gerard Butler, Eric Winter, Bree Turner, Nick Searcy, Cherly Hines, John Michael Higgins.

Basically this movie is about the typical kind of male/female relationships. Its about the main characters, Abby ( Katherine Heigl ) - a producer of morning tv chatfest in Sacremento and Mike Chadway ( Gerard Butler ) - a chauvinist loudmouth whom hosts his own dating show " The Ugly Truth" where he bluntly lays down the reality of relationships and sets women straight on what men really want. These two characters initially dislike each other but eventually end up falling in love. Each scenes definitely has its own perks and its amuzing moments mainly involving Katherine Heigl whereby she lands herself in awkward situations. Remember 'Grey`s Anatomy' and '27 Dresses'?. Just look at the way she fits herself into every scene and boy you`d swear she's a movie queen. And all the obscenities will just get you rolling on the floor and laugh till your sides hurt. * ok, im just exaggerating* =)

And if you like the movie 'He`s Just Not That Into You', you might just want to watch this as well. Its hillarious! =) You can watch the trailer here.

The movie ended about 11.30 pm and we headed to a nearby place to catch a breath. Very quiet indeed, peaceful and with no disturbance at all (except for the time where the cops came to check and went off). Enjoying the view of the bridge and stars that filled up the sky while being cuddled was the best moment a girl would wish for. That kind of true feeling where we feel safe and protected being in the other person`s arms. But somehow, something just not right. Its not like what it used to be anymore and it`ll never be again. Still, to you-know-who-you-are, thank you for everything that you`ve done. Those times where you showered me with lotsa love and gifts and fed me with scrumptious food are pretty memorable. At least i know how love feels like and at the same time how painful a heartbreak can be. As the saying goes, 'Dont cry because its over, instead smile because it happened'.

'The truth can be ugly, but its also delightfully side-splitting'.

........

As i buried my face on your chest,
I could feel your heart beats so close to mine.

Goodnight, pumpkin.

Off to bed now. Goodnight.
