Happy 2012 lovelies!

Here's the post about Christmas in Singapore that i've mentioned/promised previously.

Ever wonder how does Christmas 2011 in Singapore looks like?

Let me show ya a few pictures (very few indeed as i realized most of the pics are taken from my friend's camera FML) of X'mas mainly at Orchard Road.

I'm sure everyone knows where Orchard Road is, and it is very convenient to get to the exact place just by taking the MRT. It is the heaven of shopping where there are lotsa shopping malls around and you can purchase just about anything, from cheap goods to branded goods.

Basically Orchard Road was transformed into a garden of scintillating lights. Everywhere you turn, huge X'mas tree is there. And everything (literally everything from buildings to trees) were fully decorated with lights.

But that is not the main point.

What i actually wanted to highlight here is about a shop that i had instantly fall in love with, Candylicious.

(Honestly, i never knw that we have it here in KLCC and One Utama until i came back from my S'pore trip. #fml #outdatedmax)

(But this shop in S'pore is waaaaaaaay bigger than what we have here in KL. Like 5 times of that in One Utama. And the difference in terms of pricing? Obviously its cheaper in Singapore but not too much. Probably about three to four ringgit only.

Really, that pretty sums up my 2011. It has been a very interesting roller coaster ride, not too good on the first half year but throughout the last six months, it was definitely memorable. Thus, 2012, please be kind to me. Please be kind to the people around me, people that i care and people that i call family and friends.

And to you, let's brave through this year with full determination and with lotsa laughter. Cheers to us and many many years to come. =)

Happy Winter Solstice, EVERYONE!!

The title says it all!

So as i'm here sitting at my cubicle with only 1 task to do for the day, i might as well spend my time on my dearest bloggie!

Today marks the day where Chinese celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival or better known as Dong Zhi whereby we rolled the glutinous rice balls the night before. Fyi, this festival falls on every 22nd of December of the year, just 3 days before Christmas. And apparently this festival is bigger than our Chinese New Year but i guess the tradition is slowly fading eyh?

The glutinous rice balls, or better known as tong yuen, symbolized family unity and that the rounder the balls are, the stronger the ties were. Some tong yuen have fillings in em' be it powdered peanuts or mushygooey black sesame but as for my family, we always prefer the plain and traditional ones. No fillings and only comes in white and pink. This year's a tad extraordinary tho. We have green! But my lovely apple green turns out to be....disgusting green.

Anyways, that bowl of tong yuen is soooo good that you will definitely crave for more. Dearest mummy boiled it with ginger, palm sugar, pandan leaves and GULA MELAKA! You know how gula melaka does wonders right? It is that gooooooood! =D

Oh and eating tong yuen also means that you've grown a year older!

LOL.

Oh my just look at how much i've been slacking in updating my blog. But fret not, now that i'm back, lemme just update you with a lil' stories of my life. One thing for sure, things have been going really good or i would say 'my way' and i am so glad to have all these wonderful people around me! :D

#1. Hennessy Artistry 2011.

It was the BIGGEST HA in 2011 that was held at MIECC on the 12th of November. I was pretty glad that i've met the bunch again and at the same time get to know some new friends as well. It was an alcohol event but believe it or not, i only drank two sips of Hennessy. Unbelievable? Believe it. =P

P/S: Do take notice at the watermark on the pictures below and feel free to read em' awesome blogs! Bet they'll blow your mind. =))

#2. Part time at PC Fair.

Part time work for HP at PC Fair on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December with babe Lucelia and Khai Chee! It's fun working with people you know and all we did during free time was doing what girls do best, GOSSIPS! =P

#3. Trip to Singapore.

Took some time off from work and decided to go to Singapore with family on 9th-13th of December. Will blog about the Christmas at Orchard Road as soon as possible! =)

So yeap, that's a wrap! Imma gonna get back to my work now. Another 9 more days to endure and gain back my college life! Till then!

My Nuffnang Story

Blogging....

is the current trend. Without realizing, i've been blogging for 4 years now and 2 years back, i've came to know about Nuffnang, thanks to my bro. I've been part of the Nuffnang community since July 2009 and oh boy, this 2 years has been extremely wonderful.

One thing for sure, being in the community is not only about gaining extra income through blogging but as well as to know more people. I realized that this blogosphere world has so much to offer and it is not only about penning down everything personal about your life, but it is also to share your thoughts and get updated with the latest news and events.

Thus, with full of excitement, here goes my Nuffnang story! *beams*

I vividly remember my first time ever attending premiere screening was Paranormal Activity at Tropicana with Jenkin Yat! I remember i was a tad disappointed for not winning the passes myself for the first time but yet, i did not give up! I continue leaving comments and did my blogposts and from then onwards, i did win passes myself! Yeay me! Do you know that feeling of excitement when you've won something even if it is not big but you get to experience it before other people do? It's pure awesome! Teehee.

Apart from screenings, i've also joined several events that was organized by Nuffnang. The one that i could not forget was Gatsby Deodorant Street Fair that was held around April last year. It was one of the largest blogger gathering in history and this event was recorded in The Malaysia Book of Records too! WOW!

I also vividly remember that was the first time i met Jackie Loi, so happen to be studying in the same uni with me! He used to say i stalk him in uni, but who knows it's the other way round right? Tsktsktsk. =P

We end up bringing several Gatsby products back home! :D It was definitely a memorable day!

Besides that, i would also never forget the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race 2011 happened early this year! It was the best event of the year and of course, it was nothing but merely FUN FUN FUN!

It was sorta like a treasure hunt thinggy and what we were supposed to do was to get to the exact location, eat and blog and RACE towards the finish line.

You know when they say hard work pay off? That is cause' we won ourselves a HTC 7 Mozart EACH!!! It was unbelievable because other teams were pretty competitive as well. Again, thanks to Maxis and Nuffnang for the splendid experience!! :D

April 2011. =)

This was the Playboy Fragrances for Women Launch Event held at Mid Valley! The Playboy fragrance line for women has invade KL which include PLAY IT LOVELY, PLAY IT SEXY and PLAY IT SPICY! I remembered i got a call from one of the Nuffies like few weeks before the event and i'm glad that i actually participated in it. Despite the nervous feeling having to talk on stage in front of public and the "P" that i chose probably got backfired (LOL), i must say that it was also a great experience! Once again, thank you Playboy and Nuffnang!

Not to forget, ChurpChurp, the sister company of Nuffnang!

Honestly, I would consider myself as an amateur/newbie or whatever you call it because there is so much more for me to learn about the blogosphere world and obviously there is so much room need to be made for improvements. But, i am so grateful to have known all these Nuffies and Nuffnangers along the way who have shared all the beautiful memories with me all these while. Tho not much, but i'm sure there is more to come and it would definitely be an unforgettable never-ending journey!

The Passionately You - Cervival and Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign is a voluntary collaboration between Assunta Hospital, Asia Asssitance, Jaya One and Pj Live Arts founded to encourage the community to support the cause for cervical & breast cancer awareness and early detection.

It also helps to raise funds for the Community Treatment Program at Assunta Hospital that provides aids to cancer patients from the low income group. It started out as Passionately Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign mainly targeted at females aged 25 years old and above to encourage awareness and detection. In 2009, cerviacl cancer was added to the campaign cause to further stress the importance of healthcare.

Main Objective:
Raise awareness (to educate people on how to detect, what to do, and how to deal with) to the masses, starting from 18 years old and moving upwards to 45 years old.

Secondary Objective:

Fund raising for Assunta Hospital Foundation's Social Welfare Fund. The Foundation provides subsidized or free-of-charge treatments to patients in the low income group.

Hello homies!

Finally i could spare some time for my soon-to-die blog! =D Been really tired since i started working and i just got recovered from a bad flu and slight fever. Thanks to bro who spread his virus to me and he's so proud that he spread to his colleagues as well. Damn wth right. LOL.

Ohai!

Am currently blogging in the office coz its so goddamn boring! Head's pounding like hell thanks to the construction next door. Our building is literally shaking and the walls start to crack. Hopefully we can just be evacuated n dont work! Tsktsk.

You how ironic it is whnever we were in highsch,we cant wait to be in college. Then when we're finally entered college, we hope we could turn back time to those days in highschool. Or sometimes we even said that 'I cant wait to start my working life!'. But you know what? Working life ain't fun at all. You literally sit the whole day. No matter how much u diet, rely on biscuits for lunch, u'll still end up fat because you sit for goddamn 9 hours, five days a week!

You really have to know what's your passion to love working life.

Anyways, i still can cope with this. Just missing my college life so much. Miss having lunch with my baby, my dear and my darling. Really, assignments are nothing compare to all these.

So peeps, appreciate your college life! :))

Hello loves!

Since i've got some extra time to spare so here's a quick update from me today!

The entire week has been nothing but total bliss.

If you happen to follow me in Twitter, you know why i was all hyped up and happy.

Really, i can never be any more grateful than this.

I can never ask for more, nor wish for more cause' i am really content with my life right now.

*wide smile to the ears!*

Tomorrow will be the start of something new.

It's time to gain some experience and knowledge working in an office.

Three and a half months.

I don't know if i can cope but i am definitely willing to learn.

And that means, it would be a lil' difficult to meet the love these few months.

So yeap, hopefully time will pass faster and at the same time we both get to achieve what we want. =)

We've been meeting quite often and a slight change is indeed an obstacle.

But we will definitely overcome this. Not like i'm miles away or something right.

LOL.

Church Wedding on 30th August 2011.

As i've mentioned in my previous post, i helped my aunt for a wedding project that was held in a church somewhere in Sunway on the 30th of August. For those who've yet to know, my aunt does flower arrangements for any events, be it a wedding or birthday parties and what not. Flowers may include bouquets, corsages, boutonniere, wedding reception floral arrangements, bridal car decoration, etc. Apart from that she also does corporate gifts to romantic occasions, from delicious chocolates to amazing cupcakes. And oh, hampers as well. =)

This time around, it was only a small project, that consists of 7 small stands and 2 big stands.

Hello dears! ♥

It's September already! We are only four months away from the year of 2012! Look at how fast time flies!! It seems like only yesterday i got my first set of crayons! Teehee.

Really, am sorry for the extremely lack of updates. There are too many errands going on at the same time and i somehow lost my determination to blog. Sometimes i feel there is no need to inform people about my whereabouts and such but at the same time i really DO want to blog, for the sake of keeping all my very precious memories here (just incase if one day i've got amnesia LOL) but due to time constraint and what not, i always fail to do so. =(

Anyways, here's a post about the fun things i did after finals. =D

#1. I-city with the love and peeps.

We had steamboat buffet nearby!

Then off to the park to chill but it was a tad lil' disappointing.

The theme park is half-way building and thus it was not in a pleasant view at all. Moreover, it was stinko due to the camels' poop and pee. =X

Yes, camel riding for RM15 per person. Less than a 5 minutes ride.

Happy Merdeka Raya to all!

The Odd Duck in The Family.

Lately, things are going a lil' out of hand in the family.

Everyone is so busy over work.

Stressed out, worn out.

Throwing tantrums at each other.

Even myself, the stress level is beyond godlike.

I have to juggle between my personal stuffs, studies and even to housechores - to cooking dinner almost every night now.

Haven't i done enough?

Distance.

I felt so distant.

I don't get it when she blames me for everything.

Even when i am doing the right thing, she still put the blames on me for nothing.

Accusing me like no ones business.

Accusing me for doing things that i am not even doing, or vice versa.

Sometimes i really wonder if she really cares.

Years back, i complaint about me having burning sensations at my chest,

she gave me a long lecture.

On and off i told her about me feeling unusual about my body,

she gave me a long lecture.

Just moments ago, i told her my ear's been blocked for two weeks now,

she gave me a LONG lecture and relate it to other stories and started accusing me again.

Seriously, who am i in the family?

It comes to a point where each time i feel sick, i would just bear all the pain by myself.

I will just keep quiet.

Because at the end of the day,

telling anything is equivalent to not telling at all.

Everything i utter, they are all totally absurd.

So i guess silence is golden.

Until something big happens?

It will be too late....

Went on a 5 days trip to Hatyai with Aunt Lynnda's family.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the trip, i would have seriously suffer from mental illness because tons of shit happened just right before the trip.

But as soon as i came back, everything changed 360 degrees.

It was a short getaway, it was relaxing and all, but like i said, shit happened, so my mind was literally congested. stuck. over-load. Whatever the word is, i'm sure you get what i mean.

So, HAT YAI.

If you were to ask me to visit that place again, i would say no.

To me, it's just a rather dull town, small city, probably like our Ipoh or Tapah, but it's worst than that. (Fyi, i'm more of a highland or beach person.)

Basically there's n.o.t.h.i.n.g besides cheap clothes.

And probably food.

And with that i shall make you drool.

Howdy!

Sorry for the lack of updates!

Last week, was a complete week of HELL.

All assignments and presentations due on the same week.

I could not explain how stress everyone was, how everyone was racing against the clock.

You see, problem is, we human never learn from our mistakes.

We always do things last minute.

We are aware of how fast the time flies.

YET, time after time, we still do what we do best -

PROCRASTINATE.

Speaking about stress, it saddens me to see you all so stressed and chocked up.

I wish i could help to lessen your burden, but really, that is just all i could help.

And then you get so temperamental, which in a way i find it rather SCARY yet very adorable at the same time.

I don't even know why, but that's just how it goes.

I guess it's just me who see you as a whole different individual completely.

One more week to finals.

8th and 19th of August.

And then i'm officially on my semester break.

Fortunately or UN-fortunately, i don't have to study for next semester.

So i'll be pretty free for two months til' my internship.

Good or bad? I really don't know.

Bad cause' i think i'm gonna waste a lot of time.

Good cause' i can at least earn some pocket money.

Hello homies! Missing me yet?

Again, i know i'd been MIA for at least a month now cause' honestly, i'm such a lazyyyyyy person. Teehee. Looking at my blog statistic now is definitely a very depressing thing and i know i have to get my blogging mojo back!

Fact is, there is so much things going on in this one month. Things happened, things changed and people do change, for the better. I've come to realize so many things, so many things that i was once blinded before this but not now anymore. At this point of my life, i know who exactly are the ones that i can count on (needless to mention my both darling and dear cause' they are the most awesome friends on earth), who are the ones that i could put my trust on and rely on; let alone those hypocrites.

One great thing that i've come across lately is....as long as you hope, miracles do happen. It only depends on the matter of time, your determination and strength, and i'm glad that things could finally work out as perfectly as it should be right now. Really, you're the reason behind all these and i thank you for loving me, cause' you're doing it perfectly. =) I am keeping my fingers crossed! =)

Anyways, enough of my craps. I shall now update you with a very happy story!

3rd of July 2011, marks the day where my genius cousin, brother and his friends have finally graduated! After three to four long years, they have finally officially end their uni life and proceed to the next great chapter; the working life. Something which i couldn't wait to experience myself either. =)

Retail therapy.

The two words that is so strong that regardless you're a man or a lady, you'll definitely go crazy when it comes to pampering yourself with luxuries. But what's greater than being able to walk away with RM 10,000 in cash and RM 5,000 worth of prizes, earning you the bragging right to the title - Truly A Shopper? Yes, it's like being on cloud nine!

Truly A Shopper is an upcoming online reality show that puts the spotlight on one of the nation's favourite past time ; shopping. It's mission is to search for the country's most skillful shopaholic. 24 potentials shoppers had been chosen during the audition and later 12 lucky shoppers whose been voted by the public had the chance to continue in embarking their journey on the stages of Truly A Shopper.

The rule was to dress up as creatively and in our own interpretation according to any of the 6Ps. Obviously many of us went for the perfect dress, but as for myself, i was basically nothing of that. #1. Draw to Support Autism @ The Curve.

We were at The Curve to support two of mum's children who got selected as finalists for the event, organized by NASOM.

All these children (age 5 & 6) represented their respective schools to take part in this competition. A very meaningful one indeed.

Their work of arts.

Fyi, Autism is the result of a neurological disorder that has an effect on normal brain function, affecting development of the person's communication and social interaction skills. All those signs above begin before the the child is three years old.

Basically, the child would be in their own world and it is very difficult for them to accept changes. Some are temperamental, some have obsessions and patience is needed to communicate with autistic children.

It was such a mesmerizing performance!

I salute his mum for her patience. Despite him for being autistic, i salute him for his talent!!

Let's support autism and lend a hand to these kids!

GUINNESS® St. Patrick's Festival 2011 @ Changkat Bukit Bintang.

On the 17th of March 2011(Thursday), thousands of party-goers came to celebrate the GUINNESS® St. Patrick's Festival at downtown Changkat Bukit Bintang. It is also the official St. Patrick's Day which falls on 17 March every year. I was at the same event last year but it was held at One Utama instead. Obviously this year's the bomb!

This month-long celebration has brought many Malaysians to celebrate it with much enthusiasm, proving that this deep-rooted Irish festival has been greatly embraced by local folks.

Themed ''Merry Goes Round in March'', the celebration will be held across the country to spread the good cheer of St. Patrick's with 36 bashes including Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, Malacca, Ipoh, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu, Miri and Kuching.

The festival began with a grand parade of all performers that stretched down the array of street of Changkat Bukit Bintang. There were glorious big Harley-Davidson bikes, performers dressed in black and green attire with awesome St.Patrick's hats as well as donning quirky accessories like green wigs and oversized green glasses. Also, there was cosplays to hyped up the event, which i find that rather w.e.i.r.d.

This was where all the medias were. Apparently it is a gay club on a normal basis. Tsktsk.

Guinness draught/stout on the house!! There's this saying that goes 'You know you're old when you start drinking Guinness' and oh boy, i vividly remember i didn't like the taste of it at all, but that night, i. drank. alot. That was something rare. Hah!

Buffet-style dinner was served. Honestly it was quite good. Looking at it now makes me hungry!! *drools*

On the 10th day of Chinese New Year, the entire extended family decided to gather for dinner at Fong Lye, introduced by Aunt Diana. Honestly, the first time i've ever tried was the one in The Gardens and it did not leave a good impression as i find the food rather bland. Stepped out of the restaurant and started grumbling as to why it's always full-house each time i pass by the restaurant.

Truth is, I take back my words.

I must say that this is the best refreshing lime juice ever! Unlimited servings to quench our thirst as we waited for our seats.

Eating 'yee sang' symbolizes paving for better fortunes, health, wealth, prosperity and everything good. The vegetables are grated into long find strips to symbolize longevity.

Buddha Jumps Over The Wall.

It's a soup/potage dish that is peculiar with an extensive list of ingredients in it - abalone, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, quail eggs, etc.

The cold dish.

5 side dishes, ranging from vegetables to meat.

The scallop is as big as...my four thumbs combined.

Steamed Salty Chicken.

One of my favourite dishes among all.

The meat is tender and juicy, and the saltiness..mmm hmm.

Butter Prawns with Thousand Island Dressing.

It was pretty good.

Unfortunately i got only one because fellow cousins grabbed them all before i could grab the second one!

Fried Bean Curd with White Gourd.

The gravy is tasty, not lumpy and sticky.

The vege is not too soft either. Yummmayyy!

Fish Head Soup.

It's like everything (vegetables, fishball, meat and the fish head) are dumped into this huge pot of piping hot soup. Nothing great tho.

Roasted Pork with Leak.

This is below average for me.

I dislike the burnt aftertaste that the pork gave and i dislike leak.

But all the adults LOVE it.

Pork Belly with Siu Pak Choy.

This is good as well! But just be sure to bite out that chunk of oil.

;)

On a whole, the food were pretty good and the service is pretty decent as well despite the limitation of space. If you would to dine in here, i suggest you to make reservations beforehand as it's always full and they have REALLY limited tables.

MY Valentine's Day.

Hello folks!

Here's just a short update from me before i leave for grands place. =)

Honestly, i've never ever celebrated Valentine's Day (yes i've received flowers and all before) but i've never like officially go out and celebrate it. To me it's just another day created by Hallmark to sell their cards and for restaurants to make extra moolah. Heh.

So talking about yesterday, it was totally beyond my expectation. Got a bouquet of roses+eustomas with butterflies and was brought to a awesome restaurant for dinner. Was insisted that i should not disclose about the place but he did not say that i can't give hints right. Tsk tsk. So the hint is, ZOO. :D

Ok la, give you another hint. There's lotsa real animals but they're fake. :D Go figure go figure!

The moment we sat down i burst out laughing because instead of using candles, they use this. It's for prayers btw. Haha.

Ordered this for starter. The crab filling was gleeeeeelicious.

His plate of Cape Seafood Platter.

The combination of the king sized prawns, muscles, fish, etc were perfecto!

Mine's Lamb Shank.

Very lambbbyyy taste. Me like!

Banana split for dessert! :D

Was extremely stuffed and satisfied. What a great chillax dinner.

Finally had the time to blog about the wedding project that was held on the 1st of Jan! :D

This is gonna be a brief one because i gotta get back to my ASS-ignments or else i won't get to celebrate Chinese New Year. Tsktsk.

Premiere Screening of The Green Hornet @ Mid Valley.

Venue : GSC Mid Valley

Time : 9pm

In this incarnation of The Green Hornet, the story centers on Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) who inherits after his father's estate after his death caused by a bee stung. Forming a friendship with his father's mechanic/coffee maker Kato (Jay Chou), they both set up to become heroes using each others strengths. (Kato has amazing fighting skills and a technical expert while Britt has all the money to fund in their actions). Britt came to know that his father was paranoid about security and has had Kato to build some pretty hardcore defenses into "Black Beauty".

With both of them feeling the need for some excitement, they decided to form a crime-fighting duo. But in order to make it more effective, they decided to help people by being the 'good guys' is by becoming the bad guys. While their goal is to disrupt gang crime in LA, they draw the attention of an old school crime boss named Chudnovsky (Christoph Waltz). Chudnovsky is as dangerous as ever because he feels like he's losing respect and authority among the crime bosses in the area.

Also drawn in was Cameron Diaz who stars as Britt's secretary, who indirectly helped in their actions because Britt and Kato were totally clueless about criminal minds and she happens to be very well versed in that based on her degree in journalism.

Obviously, the ending would be predictable. But i would leave that to you guys to watch it. Movie will be officially out in cinemas on this coming Thursday, 27th of Jan.

Btw, if you guys didn't know, Stephen Chow was originally brought in and star as Kato and would be directing as well. But a few months passed, Stephen Chow was not going to direct due to creative differences but would still play Kato. A few more weeks gone by, Stephen Chow completely bowed out of the project.

Have you wondered how would the movie be like if Stephen Chow was the director? Haha.

Honestly i went in expecting a clunky, overly simple written plot with bad puns but it turns out to be quite entertaining. And despite Jay's limitations in speaking English fluently, i think he really deserves a pat at the back.

I would say that there's nothing to hate about this movie and nor there's anything to love either. It's just a typical superhero comedy and if you're expecting Seth Rogen to be someone really great, don't.

At least it did blew my mind at some scenes.

PS: If you're a diehard fan of Jay Chou, do NOT leave the cinema during the closing credits. Do NOT. =)

Ello guys!

I feel as if i'd neglected my blog for weeks even though the fact is that i didn't blog for FIVE days only heh. =P

I guess most of you would've known by now that Naan of Mai Business got first runner-up in the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race and got ourselves a HTC 7 Mozart each! *claps*

This is extremely surreal. *pinching myself*

Just a little update on the race because i've repeated the entire scenario to so many people so i might as well just do it all at once here. ;)

Basically this is what we have to do;

a) Coordinates are given to find the marshall.

b) Clues are given by the marshall to find the respective restaurant in 1km radius.

c) Eat, blog, showed to the marshall and next clues were given.

d) Continue the same routine until the 5th destination then back to Modesto's.

*The first 5 teams to reach at the restaurant will gain 10 points, next 5 is 8 points and last 5 is 6 points.

*Extra points are given for tweetering and blogs that will make the judges salivate. That explains why i had constant status updates in my Twitter and Facebook. (Sorry if some of you guys find that rather disturbing.) C=

After the briefing from Niki Cheong the emcee and Mr. YC from Maxis, the race was flagged off at 10.40am sharp from Modesto's CapSquare.

We were well-equipped with an iPhone 3gs, a laptop and a Maxis modem to help us in completing the race but daym, i've never seen such crappy effinglysuperblylaggy laptop in my entire life before. That was when we wasted so much time in the first pit-stop because we couldn't even blog. Was the fourth to reach but the last few to leave the place.

Fortunately, Jie Yi's house was rather nearby so while Jackie and myself were struggling with the lappy, she and Ken went home to grab her bling bling laptop. :D

Got to our second pit-stop, came in 10th. Lost 2 points, but its ok. We told ourselves that we gotta blog properly and make it a compulsory that each of us gotta tweet and update FB status as well.

*Can you imagine us running like mad cows in Sunway Pyramid? Was drenched in sweat when we reached Tarbush. And I swear that's the best Middle-Eastern Restaurant i've tried so far because the last time i tried around The Mines area was...speechless. Ha. Ha.

Then we got to our third pit-stop, came in 7th. 'Not too bad,' we thought. Again, we did all that we could and flew to the fourth pit-stop. Surprisingly, we came in fourth!

Thank God for Ken, who knows like almost every corner around Klang Valley. He's the best navigator, better than GPS. The moment he key in the coordinates, he knows exactly where the place is. Then we have Jackie, the genius for solving most of the clues and VERY sneaky. ( Inside joke) and we have JieYi and myself as the runners. =D

Then we got to our fifth pit-stop and guess what? We came in third! We had approx 30 mins to do everything before we head back to Modesto's. This last pit-stop was the bomb! Place was awesome, food was incredibly delicious. Service was decent as well. If only we had the time to finish everything and order more of that dessert. Yummmmmms!

We reached Modesto's just on time at 5.35pm and was the fifth to reach! Why i say just on time is because we were supposed to reach by 5.40pm and if you're late, marks will be deducted for every 5 minutes. Heheh. Not bad eyh.

Hold on, not done yet. We still had individual task to do which was the Food Tasting session. We need to guess all the ingredients in that dish and the person who got the most ingredients correct, get to win vouchers to dine in Modesto's. Apparently two guys got the vouchers. Couldn't agree more when Niki said men make the best chefs. Heheh.

Then the prize giving ceremony! Was soooooooooo surprised when team Naan of Mai Business was called as the first runner-up! It was beyond our expectation seriously.

*jumps*

All hard work paid off! Including praying to the Naan God LOL. (Inside joke again)

Once again, congrats dears! Great job! It was such a splendid experience. All the jokes, laughters, whining and SCREAMING was such memorable. Most importantly, we really did enjoy ourselves! Hoping for more races like this! :D

Woohhoo! It’s our last stop!

Wait, lemme have my meal first (: *drools* (CWKen find it rather disturbing when this appear in his blog)

- After 20minutes –

Yummmsss !!! *muahs!*

We LOVE the environment here.

The place is very posh, cosy, quiet and comfortable. If you fancy a quiet and peaceful dinner with your family or friends, this is a place to be. 5 stars rating for the environment.

We are first served with Nasi Putih & Nasi Kuning to go with the main course.

First dish served was the Emping with Sambal Terasi as appetizer. It has a bitter-ish aftertaste but after dipping it with the sambal (with lime squeezed), i swear you’ll be in cloud nine! :D

Next we had their signature dish, Ikan Seabass Bakar, that is charcoal grilled to perfection. The seabass was caught straight from the tank and is basted with their special BBQ sauce. It’s Jieyi's & Ken’s favorite!

Then we had Cha kangkung (Bandung Style). They use young kangkung fried with tauceo (soy bean paste), onions and fresh chillies. As they recommended, it is best accompaniment for their signature dish, Ikan Seabass Bakar.

Owh great, I bet you’re drooling right now. :P

Lastly, we’re served with 2 desserts, Cendol and Lemongrass Jelly with Sour Plum Burst and Crispy Fruit Roll!!!!!! Phewwww the name itself is so damn long! But trust me! Once u taste the super nice Lemongrass Jelly with Sour Plum Burst and Crispy Fruit Roll you're gonna love it! The Crispy Fruit Roll has red beans and banana filling. *two thumbs up*

Oh em gee! Blurry eyes now! Clue was a tough one but we managed to solve it and got back on track! We are currently now in Thai Base Restaurant, nom-ing yummy thai food!

It’s upstairs, so it’s kinda hard to find. Be sure to open your eyes big yah! :P

The ambiance. Very cooling and cozy.

Butter Prawns.

Food was already served on the table upon our arrival. It wasn’t too oily (it’s never easy to find great butter prawns around) and the prawns are fresh and big. :D

Pineapple Fried Rice.

Obviously everyone knows that this is nothing strange. Thai is always popular for their Pineapple Fried Rice. It’s decent and nothing to shout about. The cashew nuts just blend in so well with it.

Tarbush @ Sunway Pyramid.

So with the help of GPS coordinates, we’re here now at Tarbush, Sunway Pyramid! Seriously, we literally ran around the whole mall to find this place but now that we’re here, we’re really enjoying the food.

Honestly, it's not easy to find this place because it's located in some small lane in between the shops. We actually ran like a big circle, kept on looking for the lot number, ran up and down, wasted some time until we finally made it. Hah.

Tarbush is a posh Middle Eastern Restaurant that has established a good rapport with various organizations and sector in the country. It has a very meticulous interior with exotic decoration and with the list of menus, you will definitely have an unforgettable meal.

We were welcomed with various food served on the table.

For starters, we had Arabic Salad. It is the combination of Sumak, a flowering herb and green salads. It’s very flavorful, with the right touch of lemon juice and olive oil.

Then we have the main dish. It’s called Lamb Cubes. The lamb is marinated and grilled to perfection and comes with French fries as well.

For dessert, we had Cream Caramel. The taste is not too sweet, just nice. =)

All in all, we recommend you guys to come here if you’re a fan of Middle Eastern food because honestly, this is one of the best in town!

Strawberry Fields Cafe @ Jalan Tengah, PJ.

Whoops! #Naanofmaibusiness is now at Strawberry Fields for our very first station. Yum yummss ! The race was flagged off at 10.40am this morning and with the help of GPS coordinates, we were lead to the Marshall and with the clue, here we are!

We were served with Butter Cream Chicken, Thai style Fried Meehoon and Sago Gula Melaka.

Butter Cream Chicken Rice.

@CWKen, a hardcore butter cream dish lover, actually finished the whole plate! It’s so creamy and yummy and thick in taste and very appetizing ! We strongly recommend it to all butter cream dish lovers out there. :P

Thai Style Fried Meehoon.

Honestly, it’s a lil too spicy for most of us but definitely satisfies spicy food lovers. It is very tasty and it is fried close to perfection. Many places serve their mee hoon either too dull or dry.

Sago Gula Melaka.

It’s very smooth and yummy. The combination of gula Melaka and sago just make this whole dessert a perfect dish for everyone.

Oh gawd, we were the 4th to arrive but the last four to leave. Crappy lappy! Time to catch up!

Good day!

Hows new year treating you so far?

Great i hope.

On my side, it's been a whole great 11 days. Driving's good, life's good. Loving my timetable. =)

Anyway, this post is all about FOOD! Yeap, scrumptious food in the Land of Hornbills. (Non-halal food included)

Food in Kuching Not to be Missed!

Seafood Noodle.

Sarawak hand made noodles are yummeh. And this particular dish is at the top of my list because the sauce is reallyyyyyy tasty, the prawns and pork/fish balls are fresh and springy and the minced pork is like woah. Heaven.

Kueh Chap.

The 'kueh' denotes the thicker usage of kueh teow, cut into square/rectangular pieces and are blanched before serving into a bowl of herbal soup with assortment of pork spare parts, tau pok (fried puffy bean curb) and hard boiled egg.

The herbal soup taste like bak kut teh just that it's a lil salty.

Belacan Bee Hoon.

Besides Ko Lo Mee and Sarawak Laksa, Belacan Bee Hoon, served with cuttlefish and cucumber, is the next popular delicacy in town. Some might find this weird because of it's 'interesting' aroma but i find it yummy because i love belacan! =D

Tomato Mee/Kuey Teow.

The mee/kuey teow are stir-fried with pork and vegetables in a special tomato soup originated from Kuching. Aunt's fav! She can literally eat this for every meal.

Bi Din.

It's a green jungle fern that grows in Sarawak, often cooked in red-wine sauce or belacan. The thin, curly shoots are delicious and healthy and remains crunchy even after being cooked. It's like our version of pucuk paku.

Popiah / Spring Roll.

There's only one thing about spring roll is that, if the sweet sauce is nice, it'll turn out good. If it doesn't, there goes the popiah.

Jellyfish.

One word, DELICIOUS.

Kom Piah.

This is the Foochow version of bagel. The skin is crispy and filling tastes like char siew pau's filling. LOL. Perfect for tea break.

Aunt Angel recommended this western restaurant, Delizze, situated at Premier 101. Trust me, it's the BEST western restaurant in town, and it can even fight those in KL. Seriously.

I love the ambiance. Very cozy.

I really wish to try their loafs. Best seller it seems. Looks tempting as well :D

Half bakery-half restaurant concept. Smart eyh? And their croissants are only selling at RM1.70. Bought them for breakfast the next day, taste awesomely good i swear.

Apparently their sausages and ham are cheaper.

Soup of the day! The soup was very flavourful.

Strong smell of capsicum and very potato-ish.

The Old Time Burger.

The chicken meat was really thick and tasty, add some BBQ sauce and wa-lah! Homemade french fries were awesome as well.

Aglio Olio Spaghetti.

You'll be in cloud nine after eating this.

Carbonara Spaghetti.

I LOVE THIS! It is much better thn the one i had in La Bodega. And most of their spaghetti are only RM14.90. Cheap right? You definitely can't get this here in KL!

Happy New Year loves! =)

It's been quite a hectic week and i'm finally back home!

Missed out on the chance of seeing fireworks from aunt's place that's overlooking KLCC that night. And missed out on a good dinner as well. But then again, it was such a heavenly joy to see couples get married and what you did was to add to the uniqueness of their wedding to be more meaningful by helping out with the flower arrangements. Will blog about that later on. =)

For now i shall continue with my trip that i'd taken time off from my depressing social life. *smirks*

The Place.

#1. India Street Pedestrian Mall.

India Street is a pedestrian walkway lined with variety of shops selling textiles, crockery, goldsmiths and clothings of which you could bargain. Mid-way down there is a narrow passageway which leads to stalls that sell fresh vegetables and fruits and also spice merchants.

#2. Main Bazaar.

In just a stone's throw away, is the Main Bazaar where it has to be the most visited place in town as you can shop for souvenirs and almost every ethnic handicrafts.

You can find stalls like this everywhere as you stroll along the old town area. They sell Gambir Asli Sarawak which proven, is more powerful than VIAGRA. It's all over the place mann!

#3. The Waterfront.

Situated across the road from Main Bazaar is the waterfront which is about a kilometer long.

It is here where you ride the Sarawak River Cruise boats or take the famous Sarawak Sampan (60 cents) to cross over the river to Fort Margherita or to buy the famous Kek Lapis.

They're really generous with the samples. Eat as much as you want. Truth is, you'll never leave this place empty handed.

#4. Friendship Park.

Don't you just love the bench? ;)

The Voyages of Admiral Zheng He (Cheng Ho).

The park is to commemorate a 30 years of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China.That building with Chinese architectural styles used to serve dim sum but now's an empty building.

What a waste.

#5. Damai Beach.

This is, mesmerizing.

Damai Beach is Sarawak's most scenic beach which located on the Santubong Peninsula.

We took about 45 minutes to reach there.

I just can't stop looking at them. Like a painting aint?

Hope you readers had a wonderful Christmas because mine was a lil' special this year. Spent a whole long week at the Land of Hornbills this Christmas and oh boy, i bet you'll get a shock of your life if you see me in person.

Horrible. =|

I tagged along Aunt Lynnda's family back to her husband's hometown because i was and still is on a long semester break. It was quite a last minute decision like a month or two before that, thus it costs me bombs. The ticket was four times of that of my ticket to Hat Yai.

Anyway, here you go for the first post of my trip. A short one. :)

The Journey.

Flew with MAS. Seats are comfy and spacious.

Can't stop staring at that one particular cabin crew heh.

Ayden boy.

Chicken satay with fried rice was okay but fruit cake was too sweet.

This is as hard as rock lol.

Leave it for a few minutes and you may indulge yourself with as many cups as you can.

One of the ultimate reason why i love to fly is because i love the clouds.

And that free falling kinda feeling each time the plane pass through the clouds.

And also, i feel closer to God.

Touched down, stayed overnight at Aunty Angel's place then checked-in into 360 Hotel the next day. We took the one room apartment complete with a flat-screen TV, free internet access and a kitchen. It's very well-maintained. Only RM190 per night and RM35 for an extra bed.

As soon as you open the door, a mellow painting like the one above and a longish mirror welcomes you.

This is how the living room look like after self-rearrangement of the furnitures.

All to block the mischievous Ayden boy from turning on and off the tv and playing with the DVD player.

Lotsa space for the baby to run around.

Surprisingly i was awake from 9am yesterday till 6am this morning. Kept on tossing around, thinking constantly and not being able to fall asleep. Lotsa stuffs happened within this one week itself. Sometimes i'm pretty much impressed with the way i think about things. I don't know how i could relate stuffs together and combine them to build a picture. Not perfect tho, but truth is, they do make sense at times. MOST of the times in fact.

Another reason why i couldn't fall asleep.

You know when people say, the place of thoughts and decision making is when you're in the bathroom and in the bedroom. No doubt, i do lots of thinking while i'm showering and also right before i head to slumberland. I do admit i think a lot. I'm a thinker. I'm always anxious. It's not that i want to, it's not that i love working my brain out, squeezing the juice outta it, but it's just that i care. I care a lot about stuffs. I really do.

Yesterday, was a total let down. Butterflies in my tummy, i was trembling as i read the messages, i was feeling nauseated. I feel disgusted.

I was very, very upset. Worst, when you acted as if nothing happened. You may still walk out on the streets, full with dignity and pride, but deep down inside, you're far worse than a jerk. Never have i once thought that it could've happen to people around me. As in friends whom i've known for years.

I'm already having extreme trust issues but stuffs like this just make it even severe. It's hard for me to put my trust on anyone anymore because i've come to learn that even if you know your best friend for years, you still can't completely trust them. You may think it's good to not trust someone blindly, especially when you'd experienced being cheated on, but mind you, when you have trust issues, you tend to doubt. And DOUBT IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST ENEMY.

Not a good thing when you want to be able to trust someone, but something's holding you back.

I'm sorry.

Hello!

Since yesterday was a public holiday, the family decided to bring the grandparents out to celebrate their (grandparents & my parents) wedding anniversaries which falls on the 8th of Dec. Such coincidence. Supposingly to go for a buffet lunch but everyone was so busy until we'd totally forgotten about the dates. So we ended up settle for some Thai food at Just Thai in One Utama.

I was still recovering from a bad cold and fever but still got to drag myself up from bed because i didn't want to disappoint them. Thank gawd the nose wasn't as blocky but the body still aches like hell. It must be from the long hours of sleep i had the day before. I literally slept like 24 hours. Just woke up to wee, eat and took a quick shower that's all. =/

Service was quite bad yesterday because most of the staffs were on leave. There was like only about 3 to 4 waiters to serve all tables. It was full house btw and we were starving! Ended up taking pictures because we were so. damn. effing. bored.

Retard tard tard.

You know, i'm extremely DEPRESSED because i'm sick. And i'm DEPRESSED because even until today, my taste buds are completely cacat-ed. Everything i eat tastes so bland. Like water. Except for spicy stuffs because i would start sniffing so much that i can eventually dai. I'm DEPRESSED because i LOVE to eat. =(

And then i got more DEPRESSED because we dropped by Aunt Lynnda's house and i can't play with Ayden. I'm DEPRESSED because i can't cuddle him and make him kiss me. I'm DEPRESSED because we had such awesome dinner, buttermilk crab, and again it's bland. Again, i'm DEPRESSED because i LOVE to eat. =(

Came home, went online, received offline messages and again i got extremely DEPRESSED. Anyway i apologize that my words are a bit harsh last night but i can't accept the fact that she's feeling waaaaaaaaay to insecure even about the smallest stuffs. I repeat, SMALLEST. And i'm also DEPRESSED because of you. But things are better now i think so no worries.

Now, i'm DEPRESSED because i'm coughing like mad. FML MAX!

Premiere Screening of The Chronicles of Narnia : The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 3D @ MV.

This Christmas season, The Chronicles of Narnia is back with its third film, The Chronicles of Narnia : The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

I was delighted when my uncle called and said he has tickets to watch this great movie in 3D (courtesy of Eon Bank) and being me, obviously i seized the great opportunity to be one of the first few to watch it. In anticipation of the rapidly approaching release, which include watching the first trailer and a contest by Nuffnang, then came the second trailer, no doubt that i was quite excited over it.

Synopsis;

The movie revolves around two youngest Pevensie children, Lucy and Edmund, and their cousin Eustace. They are whisked back to Narnia via a maritime painting that comes to magical - if watery - life. It's a happy reunion with Prince Caspian and Reepicheep the warrior mouse, on board the royal ship, the Dawn Treader.

What ensues is a sea voyage of island-hopping, meeting up with dragons, dwarves, and lost warriors, and lots of chases and sword fights. The goal is to retrieve the seven swords given to the Lords of Telmar by the Great Lion Aslan. When these swords are placed together on Aslan's table, full power will be gained.

This dragon is no ordinary dragon. Watch it to find out who it is! And and and, can i have that mouse as a pet? Okay, maybe not. I'll still prefer my hamster tho they come from the same family. =P

Watch the trailer here if you've yet to do so. The movie will be out in the theater on the 10th of December. Few more days to go!

Honestly, i would say that this is the best movie of the year! If only it has subtitles tho. I might just watch it again. :D
